New Cds are about to released....
After release of the album “The Latin Edge of Pop” we started selling and we are happy to announce that within 6 months we sold 2.500 copies of which the proceeds went all to charity. We decided thereafter to make the album available on Spotify (as was the previous album) for the world to enjoy it.
The making of the album inspired a number of vocalists and us to join together to produce new albums. As a matter of fact, we are now in the process of recording with Dutch double Edison winner Fay Claassen as well as Brazilian singer Lilian Vieira new albums which will be released later this year and early next year.

The Latin Edge Of Pop is released!
On the 15th of February 2018, the new CD - product of our latest project - was released. The final title of the CD is "The Latin Edge Of Pop" which in our mind reflects quite perfectly what the CD is all about. Since all proceeds of this CD will go to the Prinses Maxima Centre For Pediatric Oncology in Utrecht, it was no coincidence that the first CD was presented at the Centre's present premises on World Childcancer Day.
Fay Claassen and Lilian Vieira, both vocal participants on this CD, were present to 'garnish' the scene with their musical talents.
Today recordings were made for the national radio programme Co Live on NPO Soul & Jazz, where during one hour all ins and outs of the CD are presented to listeners all over the country. It will be broadcasted Saturday 24th February at 19.00 hours.
Last but not least preparations are on the way to have a benefit concert in the Rotterdam concert hall De Doelen on Sunday 3rd June 2018 at 14.00 hours. The CD and several vocal participants will be the centre of attention during this show, of which all proceeds will also go to the charity cause mentioned herein above.'

New project in the pipeline!
Today we start with the vocal recordings of our latest project "Pop Meets Bossa". This CD will contain 11 popsongs from the 60's and 70's with originally a bossy-like rhythm which are further "Brazilianised" into more traditional Bossa Nova fashion with a modern flavour. One new composition of Roberto de Lujo is added. The songbook contains names like The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Matt Bianco, Stevie Wonder. Janis Ian, Alessi Brothers, Sade, David Gates etc.
Fay Claassen will start off and will be succeeded tomorrow by Shirma Rouse and Lodewijk van Gorp. Later this month contributions will be recorded by Bernice van Leer, Lilian Vieira and Rene van Kooten. Each artist will perform two songs. The CD will be released towards the end of 2017 and all proceeds will go to the Prinses Maxima Centrum for Child Oncology in Utrecht. The instrumental part has already been taken care of by largely the same group of people that participated in the previous project "Neither Here Nor There".at'

More then 2500 Cds sold!!
On November 3rd, just about 7 weeks after the CD was released, we reached sales of 2.500 pieces! Coincidently it was Teus Nobel, the young and great Dutch trumpet player who participated in as many as 7 tracks on the CD, who was responsible for reaching this target. The five CD's which he ordered this evening brought the grand total to exactly 2.500. Let us continue to move forward, all for the good cause!

"Sublime FM cooperates for the good cause"
Sublime FM, the Dutch Radio Station for Jazzy sounds, will sponsor free advertisement for the CD by Roberto de Lujo. Dutch comedian en well known piano player Mike Boddé, who also contributed to the CD, has recorded a 20 seconds advert in which he recommends to buy the CD and thereby support the Prinses Maxima Centrum.
The adverts will be played 5 times a day, usually just before the news, starting Oct 16th right up to the very end of the month.
Furthermore German Jazz DJ Suitbert Kempkes will highlight the CD during his radio programme on WDR4 on Oct 19th."

"Fight against testicular cancer"
Jazz CD voor het Prinses Máxima Centrum. Op 13 september werd een CD ten doop gehouden met 15 werken van Roberto de Lujo, alter ego van Rob van Weelde. De nummers op deze CD worden uitgevoerd door onder meer Mike Boddé, Thijs van Leer (met Focus), Peter Beets, Ruud Jacobs, Teus Nobel en zelfs de internationaal vermaarde Leonardo Amuedo, Antonio Serrano en de bekende Braziliaanse singer/songwriter Ivan Lins. Ook hebben strijkers van het Radio Filharmonisch Orkest meegedaan aan deze productie. De opbrengst van deze CD komt geheel ten goede aan de strijd tegen kanker.
De KLM heeft inmiddels laten weten de CD op te nemen in Jukebox-Jazz programma op al haar intercontinentale vluchten. De productie en persing van de CD zijn geheel gefinancierd, zodat alle inkomsten (10 euro per CD) geheel naar het goede doel gaan. In Nederland gaat de opbrengst naar het Prinses Máxima Centrum.
